May marks the beginning of Mind and Body month for Survival Tactical Systems.
Your body responds to the way you think, feel and act. This is the MIND-BODY CONNECTION. When you are stressed, anxious or upset, your body tries to tell you that something isn’t right. There is nothing more important for your personal safety and protection then to be physically and mentally focused and prepared for anything.
The mind body connection is achieved through proper nutrition, physical activity, and proper rest and recovery. Your physical fitness is considered a measure of the body's ability to function efficiently and effectively in work to be healthy to resist disease, and to meet emergency situations.
Training for life and for survival is the ultimate goal of STS. Equipment is also a large part of the equation. Just because the packaging says its awesome doesn't mean that it is. You have to find what works for you and not just when you are standing still. Just as you develop and hone your survival skills and fitness abilities, you must make sure that your equipment is not working against you. We encourage you to test your body and equipment in as many different situations as you can. This will allow you to identify what works for you and what doesn't. One thing we always say, "The first time you do something should not be the first time you do something."
